Whether you’re looking for a place to take your toddler, or you want a relaxed place to sit in the shade with a cup of coffee, then you’ll love Hawthorndene Apex Park. The playground equipment is suitable from toddlers, all the way up to older children.

There is a rubber toddler bike track, as well as a BMX track next door for children are a little more experienced at riding.

Adults can relax at a picnic table with a coffee from Joan’s Pantry next door, or perhaps a game of tennis.

What Else is Close to Apex Park?

Once you and the little ones are all tuckered out, you could head to one of Hawthorndene’s original residents, Joan’s Pantry. This is a small cafe located just a short walk from the park, and is perfect for a small treat or lunch. Their menu is extensive, with a dedicated kids menu, all day breakfast options, and they love to use local produce.

Across the road from Joan’s Pantry is Hawthorndene Oval. This is the perfect place for those seeking a larger space for their kid’s to play a game of football or looking for somewhere to take the dog for a run.

Just a short drive away you’ll find Belair National Park. The huge park has lots of walking tracks, open space for kids to play, a playground and a nursery of Australian native plants. Just another treasure located in the City of Mitcham area.
